Well, I just received an email about the end of Pownce. This was a great attempt to a company that had potential. Yea, Pownce was a “run of the mill” social network, but will alittle innovation the application could have grown.
A question I always ask is if Pownce would have been as popular without the backing of the WEB 2.0 superstar Kevin Rose? I always thought probably not, but I think the quick growth icaused the current end of Pownce. It was only about a year old!
This was a great attempt and a simple example of web entrepreneurship and how fast a company can come and go.
